About Us:

Ronald G. Zack, M.D., FACOG - Director

Thank you for your inquiry to our gender selection program.

Dr Zack is a physician/director of the Midwest Fertility Center and has been participating in the Ericsson program for over 20 years now. He has been in practice for over 30 years and busy with regular patients that include: gynecology, mothers seeking their pre- / post- natal care, treating couples trying to conceive through our infertility program and of course, couples trying to conceive either a male or female child with our sex selection technique. Midwest Fertility & Sex Selection Center is located within Professional OB/GYN in Livonia, Michigan; an office of six other board certified physicians.

Our certified Medical Technologist, Jennifer, has been with Dr Zack since January 1993 but has been working in the field of andrology for several years prior to joining Midwest Fertility Center. Please feel free to contact Jennifer at the office with any of your thoughts or questions regarding the procedure for the sex selection technique.

Even though there are other centers located worldwide that have the right to perform the Ericsson Method (www.childselect.com), we are the only facility located in Michigan and in the mid-west. With our outstanding pregnancy / success rates, we do see quite a few patients from the Metro Detroit area and throughout Michigan. Over the years, we have also seen patients that have traveled from various parts of the country, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The technique is widely used with couples that are family planning/balancing and a small percentage for genetic reasons. These couples have chosen to use the sex selection program to avoid passing on a genetic anomaly that run in families, such as Duschene's Muscular Dystrophy, Hemophilia, etc.

Over the years, we have tried to make this information available to all couples through the media and public appearances and the Internet. Dr. Zack has been seen featured on "48 Hours" (CBS) in July 1994; the NBC Nightly News; all of our local TV news stations; CKLW talk radio, and stories in the Detroit Monthly magazine and other newspaper articles.

We look forward to hearing from you.
